Advanced, Non-Surgical Pain Relief Solutions

Accident-related injuries affect every patient differently. Some individuals experience lingering whiplash after a car accident. Others develop persistent lower back pain following a fall at work. Sports-related trauma, joint instability, disc injuries, and nerve irritation can also lead to ongoing discomfort that does not resolve on its own.

Our physicians focus on minimally invasive, non-surgical solutions designed to reduce inflammation, calm irritated nerves, and support the body’s natural recovery process — without the extended downtime associated with surgery whenever possible.

Diagnostic Discography (Discogram)

A specialized imaging procedure using contrast dye and fluoroscopy to precisely identify painful spinal discs. When back or neck pain persists after an accident, identifying the exact source of discomfort is critical to building the right treatment plan. Discography serves two primary purposes: Visual Assessment and Symptom Confirmation. It is typically considered when pain persists despite conservative treatment, surgical intervention is being evaluated, or accurate identification of the pain generator is essential to guide treatment.

Epidural Steroid Injections

Targeted anti-inflammatory medication delivered around irritated spinal nerves to relieve neck, mid-back, or lower back pain. Neck and back pain following an accident is often driven by inflammation around sensitive spinal nerves. An epidural steroid injection (ESI) is a targeted, image-guided treatment designed to reduce that inflammation at its source by delivering medication directly into the epidural space. This suppresses inflammatory chemicals, reduces swelling, and interrupts the inflammatory cycle.

Facet Joint Injections

Precise injections to reduce inflammation in the small stabilizing joints of the spine, often responsible for mechanical back pain. After an accident or traumatic injury, these joints can become inflamed, irritated, or mechanically stressed. A facet joint injection is a precise, image-guided procedure used to diagnose and treat pain originating from these joints, utilizing a local anesthetic to confirm the pain source and a steroid to reduce inflammation.

Joint, Tendon & Soft Tissue Injections

Therapeutic injections designed to address tendonitis, sprains, and soft tissue injuries that can linger after trauma, as well as inflammation or degeneration in shoulders, hips, knees, and other joints.

Selective Nerve Root Block / Transforaminal Epidural

Persistent radiating pain in the neck, mid-back, or lower back is often caused by inflammation around a spinal nerve root. This highly targeted, image-guided injection is used both to identify the exact source of nerve pain and to reduce the inflammation causing it. It treats radiating arm or leg pain (sciatica), numbness, disc herniation-related compression, and stenosis. By calming inflammation and interrupting the transmission of pain signals, many patients experience improved comfort and function.

Trigger Point Injections

Direct treatment of painful muscle knots to relieve spasms, tension, and localized inflammation. Muscle pain after an accident is often caused by tight, irritated bands of muscle known as trigger points, which restrict blood flow and create ongoing spasms. During the procedure, a small amount of local anesthetic is injected directly into the affected muscle knot to relax contracted fibers, reduce inflammation, and improve circulation.

Every procedure is performed with precision imaging guidance when appropriate to ensure accuracy, safety, and optimal results.
